The Borough Council of the Borough of Parkside, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, deems it to be in the best interest of the Borough to adopt by reference the International Code Council International Mechanical Code, 2018 Edition, and any amendments, deletions, supplements, or revisions thereof, as amended by this chapter, as the Mechanical Code, Chapter 111, of the Code of the Borough of Parkside, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

The Borough Council of the Borough of Parkside, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, does hereby enact the above-mentioned Building Officials and Code Administrators International Code Council International Mechanical Code, 2018 Edition, and any amendments, deletions, supplements, or revisions thereof, as amended by this chapter, as the Mechanical Code, Chapter 111, of the Code of the Borough of Parkside, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

A. 
The fee for issuance of a permit for work performed on a residential premises shall be calculated utilizing the fee schedule provided as follows:
(1) 
Cost of job, $1 to $1,000: fee of $50.
(2) 
Per $1,000 of the fair market value of the cost of the job thereafter: $50.
(3) 
The above fees paid for permit and inspection charges shall be doubled for any heating and air-conditioning work performed prior to the payment and receipt of an approved permit from the Borough.
B. 
No permit shall be issued until the aforesaid fee shall have been paid in full to the Borough of Parkside.
C. 
The fees for all plumbing, mechanical, electrical, construction, demolition and building permits for a commercial property shall be double the costs as calculated in the above fee schedules for a residential property.
