A. 
Fire lanes designated.
(1) 
The Fire Official, with the approval of the chief executive officer of the Fire Department and Mayor and Council, may designate fire lanes on private property to which the public is invited, or which is devoted to public use, if it is necessary to provide safety for the public or to provide proper access for the Fire Department operations in the event of an emergency.
(2) 
A list of such designated fire lanes shall be maintained in the office of the Fire Official.
B. 
Parking prohibited. The parking of motor vehicles in the area of any fire lane described herein, or otherwise obstructing the fire lane, is hereby prohibited at all times.
C. 
Enforcement. The provisions of this article may be enforced by the Fire Official or his authorized designee or the Borough Police Department.
Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction, be subject to a fine not exceeding $200 or imprisonment in the county jail for a term not exceeding 90 days, or both, in the discretion of the Municipal Court Judge before whom such hearing shall be had.
