[Adopted 4-12-1993 by Bylaw No. 93-1]
Pursuant to the authority vested in the Board of Selectmen by RSA 31:39, Power to Make Bylaws, and Chapter 170 Code of the Town of Raymond, § 170-6, the following article is enacted.
The Raymond landfill will receive waste motor oil from Raymond residents at the Town landfill during regular hours in accordance with the following conditions.
A. 
Said waste oil shall be generated by the resident's personal motor vehicles only, and be delivered in one-gallon or smaller plastic containers. Oil in bleach, detergent or antifreeze containers will not be accepted.
B. 
Residents may bring a maximum of two gallons per weekend.
C. 
Containers will be deposited at a location designated by the landfill attendant. Each container shall be clearly and indelibly marked with the resident's name, address and landfill sticker number.
D. 
Residents shall not be allowed to open and/or dump any of their own waste oil.
E. 
Containers, upon being emptied by the landfill attendant, will be returned to the residents by storing in a conspicuous location at the landfill where they can be picked up when next the resident visits the landfill.
F. 
Waste motor oil which, in the landfill attendant's opinion, is contaminated with antifreeze, water or other impurities will not be accepted and will be returned to the resident.
Firms receiving the collected waste oil shall be licensed by the State of New Hampshire, Department of Environmental Services to transport, burn and/or reuse the waste oil.
This service shall be provided to the Town's residents at no charge and may be discontinued at any time without notice.
