The office of elected auditor is hereby abolished.
The Board of Commissioners hereafter shall appoint by resolution,
at least 30 days prior to the close of each fiscal year, an Auditor
who shall be a certified public accountant or firm of certified public
accountants, registered in Pennsylvania, to make an independent examination
of all of the accounts and accounting records of the Township for
the fiscal year then closing. Such appointed Auditor will have all
of the powers and duties provided in the First Class Township Code
for elected auditors.

In the event any provision of this chapter is determined
to be invalid under prevailing laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
or the United States, the remaining provisions of this chapter shall
continue to be in effect.
