The Growth and Redevelopment Committee shall consult with and advise the Council on matters pertaining to economic development and growth management in the Township.
A. 
The Growth and Redevelopment Committee will consist of 16 members of the following four classes:
(1) 
Class I: One member of the Planning Board and Zoning Board to be appointed annually by the Chair of these Boards.
(2) 
Class II: A representative of the Greenway Committee, and the Environmental Resources Committee, to be appointed annually by the Chairs of these Boards.
(3) 
Class III: Three members of the private sector, who shall be appointed by Township Council. Private sector membership may include nonresidents representing a private sector interest based in the Township or a long-standing member whose company is no longer based in the Township but continues to do business in the Township.
(4) 
Class IV: 12 at-large members who are residents of the Township and who are appointed by Council.
B. 
Committee liaisons. One liaison from the Board of Education appointed by the Board President and one Councilmember shall serve as non-voting members.
C. 
A quorum shall consist of seven voting members of the Committee.
Class I and Class II members shall be appointed by the Chair of the Committee they represent and shall serve one-year terms for the calendar year in which they are appointed. Class III and Class IV members shall serve three-year terms; all terms for Class III and Class IV members shall be calendar-year terms. Class III members may designate an alternate who may attend all sessions and participate in discussions but shall be entitled to vote only in the absence of the appointed member. Class IV members shall be appointed for a term of three years expiring on January 1.
A. 
Chairman. A Chairman shall be appointed annually by the Committee from among Class I, Class II, and Class IV members.
B. 
Township Council shall appoint a liaison to the Committee.
C. 
The Committee may invite additional members to serve on an interim basis due to specialized knowledge or expertise.
D. 
The Committee shall meet at least once a year, and all meetings will be open to the public.
E. 
The Department of Community Development shall provide the Committee with the necessary staff support.
F. 
All Township Officials will be available to the Committee to provide input and expertise as the Committee deems necessary.
G. 
The Committee shall be provided with the resources necessary to secure staff support, including, but not limited to, secretarial support, professional consultation, and other incidental expenses.
