A. The
use of generators powered by LP gas or other liquid fuel, designed
for the purpose of providing utility services to any buildings or
parts thereof, within the City limits are prohibited subject to the
following exceptions:
1. Generators designed to provide temporary utility services during
periods of power outages from the utility company which is servicing
the City.
2. Generators required to supply utility services to a construction
site before the site can be supplied with utilities by the utility
company holding a franchise with the City, subject to the following:
a. Any person wishing to install a generator under this Subsection shall
be subject to approval of the Public Works Director shall submit specifications
for approval by the Public Works Director.
b. permit shall be issued by the City upon payment of a five dollar
($5.00) permit fee.
c. The permit shall be valid for a period of ten (10) days, subject
to renewal upon approval of the Public Works Director.
