Chapter 98, Filming.
(1)
Basic filming permit: $100. Where an applicant requests expedited processing of a permit within 24 hours of the filming date, the basic filming permit fee for such expedited processing of the permit application shall be $150.
(2)
Daily filming fee payable, in addition to the basic filming permit fee, when filming on public property: $200 per day.
(3)
Daily filming fee payable for a major motion picture, in addition to the basic filming permit fee, when filming on public property: $1,000 per day.
(4)
Filming for nonprofit applicants filming for educational purposes, including student films: No fee.
(5)
Filming on private property: No fee.
(6)
The Borough shall also be reimbursed by the filming company for the costs incurred by the Borough for equipment and Borough oversight for all filming activities, including but not limited to police officers, fire personnel and employees of the Department of Public Works.
GG.
Fees for ambulance transport services.
(1)
A fee of $900 plus $20 per mile calculated one way will be charged to all persons receiving ambulance transport service by the Fair Lawn Ambulance Corps.
(2)
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the payment of the fee by any person receiving such ambulance transport services from Fair Lawn Ambulance Corps will be waived, provided that such person certifies that he/she has no medical insurance coverage in effect to cover the ambulance transport services.
(a)
The Borough will accept the amount paid by an insurance company as payment in full and will not seek further reimbursement for services.
(b)
The recipient of ambulance transport services must facilitate the submittal of the bill for such services if required by the insurance company and provide all required information necessary for payment.
(c)
The Borough of Fair Lawn shall, either directly or through any third-party billing agency with which it has contracted for billing and/or collections for ambulance transport services, be responsible for the billing of all ambulance transport services.
(d)
Notwithstanding the foregoing, all patients who are not residents or taxpayers of the Borough of Fair Lawn who utilize federally funded insurance programs shall be liable for any copayment or deductible amounts not satisfied, and the third-party administrator contracted by the Borough shall make one reasonable collection effort for all such balances when permissible under federal and state laws and regulations.
(3)
The Borough of Fair Lawn is authorized to enter into agreement with various hospitals that provide advanced life support (ALS) services to patients who are transported by the Borough of Fair Lawn Emergency Medical Services allowing the hospitals to bundle-bill Medicare for service rendered. The hospital will reimburse the Borough of Fair Lawn its transportation costs within 45 days of receiving payment.
