A. 
Unless another penalty is expressly provided by New Jersey Statute, every person convicted of a violation of a provision of this chapter or any supplement thereto shall be liable to a penalty of not more than $150 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or both.
B. 
All former traffic ordinances of the Borough of Fort Lee covered in this traffic chapter are hereby repealed, except that this repeal shall not affect or prevent the prosecution or punishment of any person for any act done or committed in violation of any ordinance hereby repealed prior to the taking effect of this chapter.

A. 
All Borough of Fort Lee parking/traffic violation fines are hereby increased by $5 to fund the Automated Traffic System (ATS), which system is to be provided to the Borough by the State of New Jersey.

B. 
The increased fines provided herein shall be levied for each summons issued on and after December 23, 1990, as required by the State of New Jersey.
C. 
An amount equal to 30% of the fine payable by persons guilty of any Borough ordinance parking violation within the Borough of Fort Lee, during the period of operation of the residential parking permit program by the Parking Authority of the Borough of Fort Lee, shall be paid over upon collection by the Administrator of the Municipal Court to the Parking Authority of the Borough for the purpose of administering the residential parking permit program in accordance with the terms thereof, such payments to be made on a monthly basis.

D. 
All Borough of Fort Lee parking/traffic violation fines are hereby increased by $1 to fund the Emergency Medical Technician Fund and to defray the cost of printing revised uniform traffic tickets.
E. 
All Borough of Fort Lee parking/traffic violation fines are hereby increased by $2 to fund the Automated Criminal System (ACS), which system is to be provided to the Borough by the State of New Jersey.
F. 
All Borough of Fort Lee parking/traffic violation fines are hereby increased by $1 in order to fund the Body Armor Fund (BAF), which moneys are to be paid to the State of New Jersey.
G. 
All Borough of Fort Lee parking/traffic violations fines are hereby increased by $1 to fund the Spinal Cord Research Act, which moneys are to be paid to the State of New Jersey.
H. 
All Borough of Fort Lee parking/traffic violations fines are hereby increased by $2 to fund the newly created New Jersey Forensic DNA Laboratory Fund, which monies are paid to the State of New Jersey.

A. 
In accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40:67-16.9, the governing body of the Borough hereby authorizes the Mayor of Fort Lee, after deliberation with the Chief of Police, to order the closing of certain streets, or portions thereof, to motor vehicle traffic during certain specified hours, as it is determined that such closings are necessary for the preservation of the public safety, health and welfare.
B. 
In the event of closing of such streets, the Borough shall either post appropriate warning signs or shall have the Police Department directing traffic in pursuance thereof.
