The purpose of this chapter is to provide regulations to residential,
commercial, industrial and other users of the garbage collection system in
the Borough of Gibbsboro so that all persons are obliged to place their garbage
and trash in adequate containers, at suitable locations and at designated
times. This chapter shall also provide penalties upon conviction for violation
of any of the provisions set forth herein.
For the purpose of this chapter, certain words and phrases are defined
as follows:
CONTAINERS
Except as otherwise specifically provided herein, containers used
for storing garbage or trash which are galvanized or plastic cans, having
handles and tight-fitting covers, or suitable plastic trash bags securely
tied; and any such can or bag shall have a capacity of from 10 to 40 gallons
and shall weigh no more than 50 pounds when filled.
GARBAGE AND TRASH
Include all forms of solid or semisolid waste materials discarded
by persons in Gibbsboro Borough and shall include garbage, offal, rubbish,
any decaying or vegetable substance or other refuse, including any waste or
worthless matter.
PERSON
Includes a person of either sex and shall pertain to any natural
person or association of persons, including but not limited to a partnership,
individual proprietorship or corporation, or other business entities recognized
by the law of the State of New Jersey.
The provisions of this chapter shall be enforced by the Code Enforcement
Officer of the Borough of Gibbsboro.
Any person who is found guilty of violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be subject to the penalties in Chapter
1, Article
I, General Penalty.
