Pursuant to the provisions of Section 5 of the Municipal Utilities Authorities Law of the State of New Jersey (Laws of 1957, Chapter
183, as amended and supplemented), there is hereby created a public body corporate and politic
under the name and style of the "Southeast Morris County Municipal
Utilities Authority."
The Southeast Morris County Municipal Utilities
Authority (the "Authority") is and shall be an agency and instrumentality
of the Township of Hanover in the County of Morris, the Township of
Morris in the County of Morris, the Borough of Morris Plains and the
Town of Morristown, all in the County of Morris (the "Creating Municipalities"),
created by parallel ordinances duly adopted by their governing bodies,
and shall be an authority as contemplated and provided for by said
Municipal Utilities Authorities Law and shall have and exercise all of the powers and perform
all of the duties provided for by said Municipal Utilities Authorities
Law and any other statutes heretofore or hereafter enacted and applicable
thereto.

For the calendar year 2021 and thereafter, members
of the Authority shall receive as compensation for their services
the sum of $2,200 per annum.
A copy of this chapter duly certified by the
Clerk of the Township of Hanover shall forthwith be filed by said
Clerk in the office of the Secretary of State of the State of New
Jersey.
