The officers and members of the Police Department shall be appointed and designated by the Township Committee and shall, subject to the limitations of the Salary Ordinance, be compensated in accordance with the following schedule:
A. 
Patrolmen/Women. The starting salary and salary increments for patrolmen/women shall be in accordance with the existing collective bargaining agreement between the Township of Hanover and P.B.A. Local No. 128.
B. 
Chief of Police. The starting salary for the Chief of Police shall be in accordance with the minimum salary as set forth in Schedule A-2 of the current Salary Ordinance[1] for civilian employees. All increments for the position of Chief of Police shall be in accordance with the job performance evaluation procedures established under the existing Township Salary Ordinance as well as N.J.S.A. 40A:14-179.

C. 
Captains and Lieutenants. The starting salary and salary increments for Captains and Lieutenants shall be in accordance with the minimum salary as set forth in Schedule A-2 of the current Salary Ordinance[2] for civilian employees. All increments for the position of Captain and Lieutenant shall be in accordance with the job performance evaluation procedures established under the existing Township Salary Ordinance.

D. 
Sergeants. The starting salary and salary increments for Sergeants shall be in accordance with the existing collective bargaining agreement between the Township of Hanover and P.B.A. Local No. 128.
E. 
Vacations. Vacations in the Department of Police for the Chief, Captain and Lieutenant shall conform with the requirements prescribed in the current Salary Ordinance for civilian personnel. However, vacations in the Department of Police for all Patrolmen and Sergeants shall conform to the schedule prescribed in the existing collective bargaining agreement between the Township of Hanover and P.B.A. Local No. 128.
