[HISTORY: Adopted by the Township Committee of the Township of Hanover 12-26-1985 by Ord. No. 34-85. Amendments noted where applicable.]
The Township does hereby adopt and incorporate Section 2 of Chapter 369 of the Laws of 1979,[1] i.e., that no fire insurance claims shall be paid to the owner, for damages in excess of $2,500, by way of a fire insurance policy until all real estate taxes and other municipal liens have been paid and the Township Committee of the Township of Hanover has certified by resolution that said payment has in fact been made or that said payment has in fact been waived by the Township of Hanover.

A copy of this chapter, upon final adoption, shall be filed with the Commissioner of Insurance of the State of New Jersey, together with a request that the Township of Hanover be listed in the list of municipalities which have adopted ordinances pursuant to Chapter 369 of the Laws of 1979.[1]
