Any three or more members of the Common Council
of the Village of New Haven may, by vote, either request or compel
the attendance of its members and other officers of the Village at
any meeting of the Common Council. Any member of the Council or other
officer who, when notified of such request for his attendance, fails
to attend such meeting for reasons other than confining illness or
absence from Macomb County shall be deemed guilty of misconduct in
his office unless excused by the Village Council.
If any member of the Common Council of the Village
of New Haven shall miss four consecutive meetings, or 1/3 of the meetings,
in any one year, unless such absences shall be excused by the Common
Council, that member shall be guilty of misconduct in office.

Any person found guilty of misconduct in office, as set forth in §§
23-9 and
23-10 above, shall be punished under municipal civil infraction provisions, as set forth in Chapter
59, Municipal Civil Infractions, of the Code of the Village of New Haven.
