The provisions of this article shall apply except when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or official traffic control device.
A. 
Wherever a space shall be marked off on any street for the parking of an individual vehicle, every vehicle there parked shall be parked within the lines bounding such space.
B. 
Except where angle parking is authorized and approved, every vehicle stopped, standing or parked upon a highway where there are no adjacent curbs shall be so stopped, left standing or parked parallel with, and not distant more than six inches from, the edge of the roadway, headed in the direction of lawful traffic.
C. 
All vehicles shall be parked parallel to the curb or gutter, if one exists, and not distant more than six inches therefrom and on the driver's right-hand side of the highway or street. Double-parking or -standing is absolutely prohibited at all times.
D. 
No person shall so stop or park a motor vehicle as to obstruct or prevent ingress to and egress from driveways and alleys leading to the street from any residence or business property in the Village.
E. 
The parking of any vehicle within 35 feet of a street pavement intersection is absolutely forbidden at all times.
The parking of any vehicle is hereby prohibited on all streets and highways within this Village between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., beginning November 1 and ending April 15 of each year.
The parking of vehicles is prohibited at all times on those streets or parts of streets described in Schedule IX (§ 142-36).
The parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited in the locations described in Schedule X (§ 142-37) during the times indicated of any day except Sundays and holidays, unless otherwise indicated.
The parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited in the locations described in Schedule XI (§ 142-38) for a longer period of time than that designated, during the hours indicated of any day except Sundays and holidays.
The stopping of vehicles at any time is hereby prohibited in the locations described in Schedule XII (§ 142-39).
A. 
The parking of vehicles in municipal parking lots for a period of longer than two hours between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., except on Sundays, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, is hereby prohibited unless permission has been obtained from the Police Department for such intended use.
B. 
The parking, driving or standing of all vehicles in municipal parking lots between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. beginning November 1 and ending April 15 of each year is prohibited.
A. 
Regulation of parking of vehicles in specified areas of the Chittenango Plaza.
(1) 
No person shall park any motor vehicle within 30 feet of the southerly edge of the curb along the front of the buildings located within the boundaries of the Chittenango Plaza.
(2) 
No person shall park any motor vehicle within 15 feet of any fire hydrant located upon the paved portion of the parking area of the Chittenango Plaza.
(3) 
No person shall park any motor vehicle within 30 feet of the parking surface closest to any fire hydrant located off the paved surface of but adjacent to the parking area of the Chittenango Plaza.
(4) 
No person shall park any vehicle in areas designated by painting and identified with appropriate signs as either "no parking" or "no parking - fire lane," pursuant to Subsection A(1), (2) and (3) above, within Chittenango Plaza.
B. 
Erection of signs. "No parking" and "no parking - fire lane" signs shall be erected pursuant to Subsection A(1), (2) and (3) above, in accordance with the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law. The signs shall indicate that vehicles parked where and when such activity is prohibited shall be subject to removal and storage at the expense of the vehicle owner or operator(s) of the vehicle.
