The town is aware of the dangers of drug abuse in the workplace and
desires to provide a drug-free work environment for its employees in order
to maintain the highest quality of service to its citizens.
To remain eligible for federal grants, the Town of Niles must comply with the Omnibus Drug Law of 1988 and establish a
Drug-Free Workplace Policy in accordance with regulations of the Federal Drug-Free Workplace Act.
The attached
Drug-Free Workplace Policy is hereby established for the Town of Niles and copies shall be
distributed to and prominently displayed in all town departments.
