This article shall be known as the "Code Enforcement Officer Residency Law."
This article is enacted pursuant to Article 2 of the Municipal Home Rule Law of the State of New York.
It is the intent of this article to eliminate the requirement that the Code Enforcement Officer reside in the Town of Niles.
The Town Board of the Town of Niles shall not require that any person serving as Code Enforcement Officer be an elector of the Town of Niles.
This article shall supersede Town Law § 23 as far as requiring that the Code Enforcement Officer be an elector in the Town of Niles.
