The Borough Council of the Borough of Coudersport does hereby confirm
the existence of a Civil Service Commission of the Borough of Coudersport.
The initial appointment of Commissioners to the said Civil Service Commission
of the Borough of Coudersport ("Commission") is hereby effectuated by means
of this chapter.
The Commission shall consist of three Commissioners.
The first Commissioner is hereby appointed to initially serve for a
term of two years and the individual who is so appoint to said position is
(Here followed the name of the first appointed Commissioner.).
The second Commissioner is hereby appointed to initially serve for a
term of four years and the individual who is so appoint to said position is
(Here followed the name of the second appointed Commissioner.).
The third Commissioner is hereby appointed to initially serve for a
term of six years and the individual who is so appointed to said position
is (Here followed the name of the third appointed Commissioner.).
As each of the aforementioned terms shall expire, the appointments thereafter
shall be for six years.
The Commission is hereby directed to organize within 10 days of its
appointment and to elect one of its members as the Chairman and one as the
Secretary. The Commission shall thereafter meet and organize on the first
Monday of February of each even numbered year.
The Commission is hereby directed to adopt rules and regulations in
accordance with the Borough Code (53 P.S. § 46176); provided that,
before any such rules and regulations are in force, the same shall be presented
to Borough Council for approval thereof.[1]
