A. Application. A voter, otherwise qualified to vote in Town elections,
may request an absentee ballot by completing and submitting:
(1) An approved
absentee ballot application.
(2) A written
request that includes:
(a) The
voter's name, residence address and signature; and
(b) The
address to which the ballot is to be mailed, if different from the
residence address; or
(3) The
accessible online absentee ballot application provided by the Town
Board of Elections.

A qualified voter of the Town desiring to vote at any Town election
as an absentee voter shall make application in writing to the Town
Clerk for an absentee ballot. Applications delivered by regular mail
must be received not later than 17 calendar days before the election.
Applications delivered by the qualified voter in person to the Town
Clerk must be received not later than the Friday immediately preceding
the election.
Upon receipt of said application, the Town Clerk
shall promptly mail or deliver a ballot to the qualified applicant
which shall be marked at the top "Absentee Ballot." Underneath these
words shall be printed the following instruction: "Mark ballot by
placing an X in proper blank after each candidate or question."
Two envelopes shall be provided with the absentee
ballot:
A. Return envelope: One envelope shall be known as the
"return envelope" and shall be addressed "Judges of Town Election,
Denton, Maryland."
B. Ballot envelope: The other envelope shall be known
as the "ballot envelope" and shall contain the Town absentee ballot.
