Editor's Note: The preamble to this resolution reads as follows: "Whereas, the 1978 session of the Legislature amended § 352-ee of the General Business Law and subsequently said Legislature amended and renumbered said section as § 352-eee of the General Business Law, in order to better protect the interests of tenants and in particular elderly tenants from the threat of imminent eviction in the event of conversion of residential real estate to cooperative or condominium ownership; and whereas, the enacting legislation provides for a local option to be exercised by cities, towns and villages located in the Counties of Nassau, Westchester and Rockland wherein the provisions of new § 352-eee, as amended, of the General Business Law shall apply to such cities, towns and villages; and whereas, this Village Board has reviewed said law and considers same to be essential for the general welfare of the citizens of Mount Kisco, in particular the village's senior citizens; now, therefore, be it resolved that:"
The provisions of § 352-eee, as amended, of the General Business Law, as added in the 1978 session of the Legislature, shall apply to the Village of Mount Kisco pursuant to Subdivision 7 of said § 352-eee.
