There shall be a Zoning Board of Appeals of five members appointed pursuant
to the provision of § 7-712 of the Village Law. The term of each
member of the Board shall be five years, commencing on the first day of the
official year of the village, except that any current member whose term is
to expire at other than the end of an official year of the village shall,
upon expiration of such term, hold office until the end of the official year,
and his or her successor shall then be appointed to a term of five official
years.
The Chairman of the Board shall be the member so designated by the Board
of Trustees of the Village of Mount Kisco. In the absence or disqualification
to act as the Chairman at any meeting of the Board, the members present shall
designate an Acting Chairman who shall thereupon have the powers and the duties
of the Chairman during the continuance of the absence or disqualification
of the Chairman.
The Chairman of the Board shall designate a properly qualified person
to act as Secretary of the Board and shall fix the Secretary's compensation
subject to the budgetary limitations.
