A. 
The Town Board may, from time to time, on its own motion or on petition or on recommendation of the Planning Board or the Board of Appeals, after public notice and hearing, amend, supplement, change, modify or repeal this chapter, pursuant to the provisions of the Town Law applicable thereto.
B. 
Every such proposed amendment or change, whether initiated by the Town Board or by petition, may be referred to the Planning Board for report thereon. The Town Board, by resolution adopted at a stated meeting, shall fix the time and place for a public hearing on the proposed amendments and cause notice to be given at least 10 days prior to the time and place of such hearing in a paper of general circulation in the Town.

In accordance with the General Municipal Law of New York State §§ 239-l and 239-m, all proposed zoning regulations or any amendment thereof which would change the district classification of or the regulations applying to real property lying within areas defined by the aforementioned section and proposed special use permits or variances affecting lands or buildings within the defined areas shall be referred to the County Planning Agency of Saratoga County for review and comment prior to the final action by the appropriate Town body.
