Whenever any words and phrases are used in this
Part, the meaning respectively ascribed to them in Subtitle 1 of Title
39 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey shall be deemed to apply
to such words and phrases used herein.

Unless another penalty is expressly provided by New Jersey statute,
or except as specifically provided in some other section of this Part,
any person who shall violate the provisions of this Part or any supplement
thereto shall be liable to the following penalties:
A.
For a violation of § 187-41, a fine of not less than $5 nor more than $100, plus costs not to exceed $30, payable to the Violations Bureau, Borough of North Arlington, or imprisonment in the Bergen County Jail for a period of not more than 15 days, or both, within the discretion of the Judge.
B.
For a violation of § 187-14, 187-22, 187-23, 187-46A, B, C, D, E or F, 187-47, 187-48 or 187-49B, a fine of not less than $10 nor more than $100, plus costs not to exceed $30, payable to the Violations Bureau, Borough of North Arlington, or imprisonment in the Bergen County Jail for a period of not more than 15 days, or both, within the discretion of the Judge.
C.
For a violation of § 187-21, a fine of not less than $15 nor more than $100, plus costs not to exceed $30, payable to the Violations Bureau, Borough of North Arlington, or imprisonment in the Bergen County Jail for a period of not more than 15 days, or both, within the discretion of the Judge.
D.
(1)
First offense: a fine of not less than $20 nor more than $200, plus
costs not to exceed $30, payable to the Violations Bureau, Borough
of North Arlington.
(2)
Subsequent offenses: a fine of not less than $25 nor more than $200,
and/or 90 days' community service, within the discretion of the
court.
