Each person who shall contract or undertake to supply hot water for
any building or part thereof occupied as a home or place of residence of one
(1) or more persons shall supply such hot water to the building or part thereof
at a minimum temperature at the faucet of not less than one hundred twenty
degrees Fahrenheit (120º F.), twenty-four (24) hours a day.
If hot water is supplied by means of a furnace, boiler, heater or other
apparatus under the control of the owner, agent or lessee, it shall be the
duty of the owner, agent or lessee to properly repair such heater promptly
in the event that it shall become defective.
