As used in this Part 3, the following terms
shall have the meanings indicated:
BUILDING SEWER or SERVICE LINE
The extension from the end of the house drain where it ends
four feet outside of the walls of the building to the beginning of
the public sewer lateral line at the curbline or alley line.
FRESH AIR VENT
A direct connection leading from the house trap to the outer
air.
HOUSE DRAIN
That part of the main horizontal drain and its branches inside
the walls of the building and extending to a point four feet outside
the walls of the building.
HOUSE DRAIN CLEANOUT
A cleanout on the house drain just inside or outside the
building wall through which the sewer may be cleaned. In the case
of existing construction, the house drain cleanout may be located
on the service line.
LATERAL
That part of the public sewer extending from the public sewer
main to the curbline or alley line.
NEW CONSTRUCTION
Any new building renovation or repairs which involve the
disconnection of or relocation of a waste line.
PERSON
Any individual, partnership, company, association, society,
corporation or other group or entity.
PLUMBING INSPECTOR
The person or persons appointed by the Town to enforce the
terms of this Part 3.
SEWER
The public sanitary sewer system and its appurtenances operated
by the Town, including the lateral.
TOWN
The Town of New Windsor, Carroll County, Maryland.
