No person shall park or permit to be parked any motor vehicle on any street or public or private property in the Township for a period of more than 72 hours unless such motor vehicle is operable and in condition for safe and effective performance of the function for which it is intended. Inoperable motor vehicles must be properly stored in a closed garage or covered with a vehicle tarp. In the case of nonresidential premises or a motor vehicle garage or a service station, automobiles may be stored pursuant to law in order to make the motor vehicle operable and in condition for safe and effective performance of the function for which it is intended.
No person shall park, stop, or stand any motor vehicle, or permit or suffer the same to be done in any yard area of any premises except on driveways and parking areas, constructed and maintained in accordance with Township Ordinances for no longer than 24 hours, or under emergency weather conditions.
Anyone violating provisions of this chapter shall be subject to the penalties enumerated in §§ 1-18 and 1-19 of this Code of the Township of Burlington.
