A. It shall be unlawful for any person to drive or operate
a limousine as hereinbefore defined within the County of Monroe without
first having secured and having in force and effect a county limousine
license plate issued by the County Clerk of the County of Monroe,
and such plate shall be properly attached to the rear of the limousine,
in accordance with the provisions of this chapter relating thereto,
and which shall be in effect.
B. All vehicles used as limousines shall have not more
than five nor less than four doors and a capacity of at least five
passengers, not including the driver.
C. The County Clerk is authorized to issue a county limousine
plate upon application therefor, after compliance by the applicant
with the provisions set forth in this chapter and upon approval by
the Sheriff and the payment of the required license fee.
D. The fee for each county limousine license plate shall
be $35 annually, to be paid at the time that the license plate is
issued. A county limousine license plate issued after January 1 of
any year shall require a license fee of $20.
E. A license plate issued by the County Clerk shall be
for a period ending the 30th day of June following the date of issuance,
unless revoked, surrendered or abandoned at an earlier time as provided
by law.
F. Should a limousine license plate be lost or stolen,
the licensee shall immediately report said loss or theft to the Clerk
who originally issued the plate, and such Clerk, upon receipt of an
affidavit of loss, in writing, duly sworn, shall issue a replacement
upon payment of a fee of $10.

An application for a county limousine license
plate shall contain the name and address of the applicant and the
model, make and serial number of the vehicle to which the plate is
to be attached. An applicant shall certify on said application that
he will use the limousine license plate only on the vehicle specified
in the application and that he shall have such vehicle in good mechanical
condition at all times.
The holder of a county limousine license plate
shall be permitted to renew the same for a twelve-month period annually,
provided that all provisions of this chapter relating thereto are
complied with. The application for such renewal must be filed with
the County Clerk not later than the 30th day of June of each successive
license year. If the application for renewal is not made within said
time, the holder will be deemed to have abandoned said limousine license
plate. The Sheriff may, in his discretion, waive this requirement
and allow a late renewal.

No county limousine license plate issued pursuant
to this chapter or any right or privilege granted herewith shall be
assigned or transferred without the consent of the Sheriff.
The owner, driver, operator or person in charge
or control of a limousine shall, upon request, deliver to the person
paying for hire of the same, at the time of such payment, a receipt
therefor, containing such information and in a form approved by the
Sheriff.

A. A limousine, except when being used for funerals,
weddings or chartered service, shall only transport passengers between
an airport, bus terminal, railroad station, hotel or motel and shall
not make intermittent stops to discharge or take on passengers at
places other than those herein designated.
B. No person shall operate a limousine within the County
of Monroe without first having obtained a taxicab driver's license
issued pursuant to the provisions contained in this chapter.
