This Charter is the municipal corporation charter
of the Town of Manchester, the corporate name of which is the "Town
of Manchester."

The terms "town," "city," "municipality" and
"municipal corporation" in this Charter shall be construed as synonymous.

The municipal corporation here continued under
its corporate name, has all the privileges of a body corporate, by
that name to sue and be sued, to plead and be impleaded in any court
of law or equity, to have and use a common seal and to have perpetual
succession, unless the Charter and the corporate existence are legally
abrogated.
