There shall be the office of Chief Financial Officer, which said office shall be in conformity with the statutes governing the same.
The Chief Financial Officer shall be a certified municipal finance officer, as defined in the appropriate statutes.
The Chief Financial Officer shall be appointed by the governing body in accordance with the provisions of statute.
The Chief Financial Officer shall be the head of the Department of Finance and shall be that individual holding the offices and performing the duties of Treasurer and Tax Collector. The Chief Financial Officer shall direct, supervise and administer the entire Department to include the office of the Treasurer and the office of the Tax Collector and office of Collector of Sewer Rents.
The compensation of the Chief Financial Officer shall be fixed by the Mayor and Council upon the adoption of its Annual Salary Ordinance.[1]
