The Borough of South Plainfield hereby adopts all the benefits and privileges of the state Bingo Licensing Law (N.J.S.A. 5:8-24 et seq.) and Raffles Licensing Law (N.J.S.A. 5:8-50 et seq.) as ratified by referendum of the 1954 primary election.
The provisions of the said state Bingo Licensing Law and state Raffles Licensing Law, together with all future supplements and amendments thereto, are hereby incorporated into this chapter and made a part hereof as though fully set forth.
It shall be lawful to conduct such games within the limits of the Borough of South Plainfield on Sundays as well as on secular days, provided the license issued by the municipality so provides.

The Municipal Clerk is hereby delegated the authority to act as the issuing authority to approve the granting of raffle and bingo licenses.
Any person, association or corporation who or which shall make any false statement in any application or shall fail to keep the books and records required by law, shall falsely make any false entry therein or shall violate any of the provisions of the state statute or of this chapter or any of the rules and regulations controlled thereunder or any of the terms of the license issued may, upon conviction thereof, after hearing by the Municipal Court, be punishable by a fine not exceeding $2,000, imprisonment in the county jail for a term not exceeding 90 days or a period of community service not exceeding 90 days, or any combination thereof.
