This chapter is enacted pursuant to the authority of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York and shall be known as the "Games of Chance Law of the Village of Harriman."
A. 
The words and terms used in this chapter shall have the same meaning as such words and terms are used in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law, unless otherwise provided herein or the context requires a different meaning.
B. 
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
OFFICER
The inspector appointed by the village pursuant to Article 14-H of the General Municipal Law for the purpose of inspecting and supervising bingo games.
VILLAGE
The Village of Harriman.
A. 
Games of chance may be conducted in the village by an authorized organization after obtaining a license therefor in accordance with the provisions, requirements and limitations of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law, the rules and regulations under the New York State Racing and Wagering Board and this chapter.
B. 
Conduct of games of chance on Sundays is authorized except as otherwise provided in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law.
