[Adopted 6-21-1994 by Ord. No. 94-6
(§ 11-9 of the 1971 Revised General Ordinances)]
It is hereby found and determined that travel is sufficient on the roads
and streets hereinafter referred to cause the Township Committee to provide
for the removal of snow and ice from said streets and roads.
The streets and roads hereby determined to be eligible for removal of
snow and ice by the Township are as follows:
The Township of Stillwater recognizes no obligation to maintain any
of the streets or roads hereinabove referred to. Should any of said streets
or roads be permitted to deteriorate to the extent that, in the opinion of
the Foreman of the Road Department, the removal of snow or ice from said road
or roads could result in injury to Township equipment, then no snow or ice
removal shall be undertaken until said street or road is repaired and improved
so that, in the opinion of the Road Foreman and Township Engineer, no injury
is likely to be sustained by Township equipment in providing snow and ice
removal therefrom.
Removal of snow and ice from the streets and roads designated in § 350-35 is authorized pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40:67-23.1; said streets and roads are private streets and roads, and the adoption of this article and the furnishing of said snow and ice removal shall in no way be construed as acceptance of said roads or streets by the Township of Stillwater.
