[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Rockland 7-7-1994 by L.L. No. 3-1994 (Ch. 20 of the 1984 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
The operation of all launderettes and other coin-operated businesses within the Town of Rockland shall secure, by locking, all entrances and exits between the hours 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m. The business may be exempt from such securing upon the approval of the Town Board. Consideration will be given to any business where the owner or employee is in regular attendance during all times while said place of business is open for the transaction of business; said person shall be at least 21 years of age to supervise and be in charge of the operation of said business for the protection of the public.
A. 
Any person, partnership, association or corporation who violates any provision of this chapter shall be guilty of an offense against this chapter and subject to a a maximum fine of $250 or imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each day of continued violation after notice thereof shall constitute a separate and distinct violation.

B. 
In addition to the above-provided penalties, the Town Board may also maintain an action or proceeding in the name of the Town in a court of competent jurisdiction to compel compliance with or to restrain by injunction the violation of any portion of this chapter.
