No person shall post any handbills, notices or advertisements of any kind whatsoever, or print, paint, stamp or otherwise mark any words, letters, figures, signs or tokens of any sort or kind, on any utility pole or on any tree, post, flagstone, curbstone or sidewalk or on any public property within this Village, except however, that public utilities may mark their poles in the manner prescribed by law, and the posting of official notices in public places is permitted.

A. 
Political signs must be removed within 48 hours after the election.
B. 
Political signs must not obstruct traffic.

Any violation of any provision of this chapter shall be punishable as provided in Chapter 1, General Provisions, § 1-6.
