A.
The Mayor and Council may employ a nonresident of
the Borough of Runnemede as Deputy Borough Clerk, to hold office until
the first day of January next following his appointment.
B.
He shall perform all of the duties of the Borough
Clerk and shall be vested with the powers and duties of the Borough
Clerk during the absence or disability of the Borough Clerk. He shall
perform such other duties assigned by Mayor and Council.
Any person who shall hold the office of Deputy
Borough Clerk shall hold said office at the discretion of Mayor and
Council. Nothing contained in this article shall entitle any person
holding the office of the Deputy Borough Clerk to acquire tenure.
