No person shall ride upon any bicycle, tricycle or other wheeled vehicle upon any sidewalk in the Borough of Raritan except when necessary to do so in passing from private premises to the roadbed of any street, nor shall any person ride any such vehicle in or upon any street or highway of said Borough without ringing a bell or sounding a whistle at a distance of at least 50 feet from any crossing or intersection over which any person may be passing in such manner as to give full and sufficient warning of such approach, nor shall any person ride upon any such vehicle upon any street of said town between one hour after sunset and one hour before sunrise without carrying and displaying a lighted lantern.

No person shall ride on a bicycle, tricycle or other noiseless vehicle through the streets of the Borough of Raritan at a speed exceeding eight miles an hour.
Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding $10 for each offense.
