A. 
This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the "Penndel Borough Planning Commission Ordinance."
B. 
The purpose of the chapter is to create and establish a Planning Commission for the Borough of Penndel pursuant to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, 53 P.S. § 10101 et seq.
A. 
A Borough Planning Commission is hereby created and established in the Borough of Penndel, which shall be known as the "Penndel Borough Planning Commission" (hereinafter referred to as "Planning Commission"), consisting of five members who shall reside within the Borough and who shall serve without compensation but may be reimbursed for necessary expenses. At least three members of the Planning Commission shall be designated as citizen members, which means they shall not be officers or employees of the Borough.
B. 
The members of the Planning Commission shall be appointed by the Borough Council for a term of four years, respectively, or until a successor is appointed and qualified, except that the terms of the members first appointed pursuant to this section shall be fixed so that no more than two members of the Planning Commission shall be reappointed or replaced during any future calendar year.
The Planning Commission shall have all the powers and duties conferred and imposed upon it as established and set forth in the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code. Said provisions are fully incorporated herein by reference.
