A. 
All water supply used for drinking purposes or domestic purposes, except bottled water, shall be provided by the public water supply of the City of Yonkers, New York.
B. 
No person shall add chemicals or other substances to the public water supply in any building or structure without first having obtained, in writing, permission from the Director and the Bureau of Water Supply of the City of Yonkers, nor shall any person shut off or discontinue water service except for such temporary interruption as may be necessary while actual repairs or alterations are in process or during temporary emergencies when discontinuance of service is approved by the Director.
C. 
Wells are not permitted for drinking or domestic use and may not be physically connected in any way to the public water supply system of the City of Yonkers.
Potable water shall be protected from backflow in accordance with the provisions of the New York Uniform Code and this chapter.
A hot-water-return circulation system shall be installed in all buildings of more than four stories in height supplied with hot water and in all other buildings where the developed length of hot-water piping from the source of hot-water supply to the extreme fixture supplied exceeds 100 feet. The circulation return shall in all cases be 1/2 inch or more in diameter.
