[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Newtown 10-14-1974 as Article 705 of the Codified Ordinances of Newtown Township 1973. Amendments noted where applicable.]
It shall be unlawful and shall constitute disorderly conduct for any person within the limits of the Township:
A. 
To breach the peace; to be a vagrant; to engage in fighting; to incite others to fight; to engage in any act tending to imperil the personal security of any person; or to endanger or injure property.
B. 
To use loud, boisterous, profane, blasphemous, indecent or immoral language upon or near any of the public highways or public places or any other place in a manner so as to annoy residents in the neighborhood; or to make any unseemly noise or disturbance to the annoyance of the users of the highways and roads or the residents nearby.
C. 
To loaf, loiter or stand upon any of the sidewalks or public highways, roads or places so as to interfere with the free passage of the users of the highways, roads and sidewalks.
D. 
Except when hunting in compliance with state laws and regulations, to discharge any gun or firearm unless in defense of person or property.

E. 
To throw on or into any highway, road or pavement any stones, snowballs or any other material; or to explode any torpedo, bomb, firecracker, or fireworks of any kind in or on the highways, roads or pavements.
F. 
To tamper with, destroy or otherwise interfere with any lights, highway signs, guardrails or any other property or materials placed in the public highways or roads by the Township or any of its officials.
G. 
To operate or cause to be operated any equipment or hand tools used in residential or commercial construction, repair, alteration, or demolition work on buildings, structures, streets, alleys or appurtenances in any land use category between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be punishable by a fine not exceeding $1,000, plus costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, shall be imprisoned for a term not exceeding 30 days.
