Newtown Township hereby elects to administer and enforce the International Fire Code in its entirety in addition to Appendices B, C, D, E and F as published by the International Code Council, Inc., in accordance with the referenced edition adopted by the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code and all future amended editions. Not fewer than three copies of the International Fire Code are filed in the Code Enforcement office.
A. 
Section 101.1 shall be amended by inserting "The Township of Newtown."
B. 
Section 109.4 shall be amended as follows:
Persons who shall violate a provision of this code or shall fail to comply with any of the requirements thereof or who shall erect, install, alter, repair or do work in violation of the approved construction documents or directive of the fire code official, or of a permit or certificate used under a provision of this code, shall be guilty of a "non-traffic" violation, punishable by a fine of not more than "$500" or by imprisonment not exceeding "30 days" or both such fine and imprisonment. Each day that a violation continues after due notice has been served shall be deemed a separate offense.
C. 
Section 111.4 shall be amended as follows:
Any person who shall continue any work after having been served with a stop-work order, except such work as that person is directed to perform to remove a violation or unsafe condition, shall be liable to a fine of not less than "$100" or more than "$1,000."
D. 
Section 1103.5.3 shall be amended as follows:
An automatic sprinkler system shall be provided throughout existing buildings in accordance with the requirements and standards of the "Existing Building Code" where cellulose nitrate film or pyroxylin plastics are manufactured or stored or handled in quantities exceeding 100 pounds. Vaults located within buildings for storage or raw pyroxylin shall be protected with an approved sprinkler system capable of discharging 1.66 gallons per minute per square foot over the area of the vault.
E. 
Section 5704.2.9.6.1 shall be amended as follows:
Storage of Class I and II liquids in aboveground tanks outside of buildings is prohibited within areas defined as steep or very steep slopes, wetlands or floodplain.
F. 
Section 5706.2.4.4 shall be amended as follows:
Storage of Class I and II liquids in aboveground tanks are prohibited within areas defined as steep or very steep slopes, wetland or floodplain.
G. 
Section 5806.2 shall be amended as follows:
Storage of flammable cryogenic fluids in stationary containers outside of building is prohibited within areas defined as steep or very steep slopes, wetland or floodplain.
H. 
Section 6104.2 shall be amended as follows:
Storage of liquefied petroleum gas is prohibited within areas defined as steep or very steep slopes, wetlands or floodplain.
