Whenever a dog, cat or other animal shall have bitten any person,
the owner or person in charge thereof shall securely confine such
animal for the purpose of observation in such manner and for such
period not in excess of 10 days as may be designated by the Health
Officer.
The owner of any such animal shall be responsible for the payment
of all expenses incurred resulting from the examination of said animal,
whether dead or alive, pursuant to this chapter or any other ordinance
of this Borough or statute of the State of New Jersey.

Any person who shall be guilty of violating this article shall be subject to a penalty as set forth in Article
XI, Violations and Penalties, of this chapter.
