Whereas, the Township of Riverside has a long-standing policy of providing specific benefits to individuals employed by the Township of Riverside upon retirement, be it resolved by the Township Committee of the Township of Riverside that those same benefits upon retirement currently extended to Riverside nonunion employees are hereby memorialized and attached to this article for the purpose of establishing a written record of said for audit and State of New Jersey purposes.
Benefits received by nonunion employees upon retirement shall be as follows:
A. 
Any employee who retires due to medical reasons, disability or regular retirement shall receive all earned, unused and accumulated sick, personal and longevity monies due them. These monies shall be prorated. Sick time shall be paid at 50% of all days, prorated to the date the employee retires, up to a maximum established by the salary ordinance applicable to the year in which the employee retires.
B. 
An employee retiring due to medical reasons, disability, or regular retirement payment shall be eligible for full vacation pay.
C. 
Personal days shall be paid at 100% of all days unused, prorated to the date of retirement, retirement due to medical reasons, disability, or regular retirement, with no maximum payment.
D. 
Longevity shall be paid for the entire year, prorated to the date of retirement, retirement due to medical reasons, disability, or regular retirement.
E. 
Any employee who retires, or retires due to medical disability reasons, as opposed to general resignation or discharge shall be eligible to receive these benefits.
F. 
The Township shall provide for retirees the same medical coverage or level of medical coverage afforded to them when they were in the employ of the Township of Riverside, at no additional cost up to the time the employee becomes eligible to receive Medicare/Medicaid.
