The following shall be designated as one-way
travel streets:
A. Central Avenue: from the easterly end of the Railroad
Station to, and going toward, South Main Street.
B. Glendon Street: from South Main Street to, and going
toward, Depot Street.
C. Lake Avenue: from parking area at Lakeside to, and
going toward, South Main Street.
D. Railroad Avenue: from South Main Street to, and going
toward, the easterly end of the railroad station.
E. Town Hall: front parking area, enter at east and exit
into Union Street.
F. Wharf Avenue: from South Main Street to, and going
toward, Lakeside parking area.
G. Valley Lane: from the Town-owned parking lot to Lehner
Street.

The following shall be designated as restricted
parking streets:
A. Central Avenue: diagonal on west side, parallel on
east side; fifteen-minute limit on second parking spot opposite the
post office.
B. Crescent Lake Avenue: parking on southeast side only.
C. Depot Street: parallel parking on northeast side from
Railroad Station to Glendon Street.
D. Glendon Street: parallel parking, southeast side only,
in delineated spaces from South Main Street to IGA exit and from School
Street to Lehner Street.
E. Lake Street: parallel parking, southeast side only.
F. Lehner Street: parallel parking, south side only;
exception: north side in delineated spaces only.
G. North Main Street: parallel parking, both sides, Smith
River to Mill Street.
H. Pleasant Street: parallel parking from Clow Road to
Sewall Road, west side only.
I. Post office: parallel parking in front of post office,
fifteen-minute limit.
J. Railroad Avenue: diagonal parking, both sides, except
beside Black's Paper Store where parking is parallel.
K. School Street: parallel parking, northeast side only.
L. Sewall Road: parallel parking, North Main Street to
Pleasant Street, south side only.
M. South Main Street:
(1) Diagonal parking on northeast side from Central Avenue
to the westerly side of Black's Paper Store.
(2) Diagonal parking on west side from Smith River to
Lake Avenue.
(3) Parallel parking, west side from Lake Avenue north
end to Town Park, both sides from Union Street to Rotary Club clock;
exception: no parking in front of Town Park.

(4) North
side between the eastern drive entrance to Town Hall and Union Street,
30 minutes during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through
Friday.

N. Town Hall:

(1) Parking
directly in front of the Town Hall shall be limited to 30 minutes
during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on business days with the
exception of one space reserved for the Town Clerk.
(2) In
the rear parking lot, except for the parking spaces reserved for Town
employees, parking shall be limited to two hours between the hours
of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Island resident vehicles, with island sticker,
shall have unrestricted use.
O. Union Street: parallel parking, south side, from School
Street to Lehner Street.

A. From June 15 to September 15, parking is limited to
two hours between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on the following
streets:
(2) Depot Street: Central Avenue to Glendon Street, east
side.
(3) Dockside, including ingress and egress roads thereto.
(4) Glendon Street: in delineated spaces from South Main
Street to IGA exit.
(5) Main Street: Glendon Street to Mill Street, both sides.
(6) Lehner Street: from Glendon Street to Union Street,
both sides.
(7) Railroad Avenue: Main Street to boat ramp.
B. Boat trailers and towing vehicles, if attached, are restricted to the end of Glendon Street. See Chapter
36, Docks and Wharves, §
36-5K.
C. Exception. Tradesmen and contractors who will be working
within the seasonally restricted area may make application to the
Wolfeboro Police Department for a special permit allowing parking
without time limit for a period not to exceed five consecutive days.
Such permits will only be issued to those tradesmen or contractors
who satisfactorily demonstrate necessity because of continual need
to have access to tools, equipment and materials contained in their
vehicle which are necessary to the performance of their trade where
actually working within the said seasonally restricted area.

Parking shall be prohibited as follows:
A. Allen Road: south side for entire length.
B. Depot Street: both sides from Glendon Street to Railroad
Station, except west side from Central Avenue to Glendon Street.
C. Forest Road: no parking on either side of Forest Road
from Sewall Road to Hopewell Point Road.
D. Glendon Street: southeast side from IGA exit to School
Street and entire northwest side.
E. Green Street from South Main Street:
(1) No parking will be allowed on the left side for the
entire length.
(2) No parking will be allowed on the right side to a
point projected across the street from the rear of the Christian Science
parking lot.
F. Mill Street: entire length.
G. North Main Street from November 1 to April 1:
(1) No parking permitted on the northerly side from Mill
Street to Friend Street, except on Sundays between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00
noon.
(2) No parking permitted on the southerly side from Sewall
Road to Oak Street.
H. River Street: between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
I. Route 28: No parking is permitted on either side northerly
from the Episcopal Church to Birch Road for any vehicle of any type;
exception: Parallel parking shall be permitted from the junction of
Route NH 109A southerly to the railroad crossing on the west of the
highway, a distance of approximately 400 feet, and in the delineated
spaces on the east side from the railroad tracks to the entrance of
the Town parking lot.
J. Sewall Road from North Main Street: No parking will
be allowed on either side to a point 25 feet south of the intersection
of Pleasant Street; exception: Vehicles actually engaged in loading
or unloading merchandise shall be permitted to stop temporarily on
the easterly side of Sewall Road within a zone beginning 50 feet southerly
of the intersection of North Main Street and Sewall Road and continuing
a distance of 100 feet southerly on Sewall Road. Such vehicles shall
also be permitted to stop with their left-hand wheels parallel to
the easterly side of said Sewall Road.
K. South Main Street: in front of Town Park, entire length.
L. Union Street: entire length with the exception of the south side
between the Town Hall parking lot and Lehner Street in lined parking
spaces only.

M. Intersections, all: no parking within 20 feet of any
intersection, unless otherwise designated.
N. Estabrook Road:
(1) No parking allowed on the northwest side of Estabrook
Road beginning at the intersection of Estabrook Road and South Main
Street (Route 28) for a distance of 45 feet.
(2) No parking on the southeast side of Estabrook Road
beginning at the intersection of Estabrook Road and South Main Street
(Route 28) for a distance of 787 feet.
P. School street: southwest side from Glendon Street
to Union Street.
Q. Lehner Street: south side from Union Street in an
easterly direction approximately 250 feet.
R. Lehner Street: south side from the intersection of
Center Street in a westerly direction approximately 80 feet.
S. Varney Road: both sides from the intersection of Bay
Street and Mill Street to the intersection of Friend Street and Filter
Bed Road.
From November 1 to May 1 of each year:
A. All night parking on the public street shall be prohibited
during declared snow emergencies. A snow emergency may be declared
by the Director of Public Works, or his designee, at any time when
in their discretion a snowstorm is imminent. He shall, as soon as
practical, but before 3:00 p.m. of any such day, notify the local
radio stations and ask them to broadcast that a snow emergency has
been declared. He shall also notify the Police and Fire Departments
of the same.
B. All-night parking shall be permitted in any Town parking
lot during snow emergencies; provided, however, that any vehicles
so parked must be removed from such Town parking lot by 7:00 a.m.
C. Drivers of cars disabled in snow emergency conditions
shall immediately notify the Police Department of the location of
such cars and shall make arrangements for their removal at the earliest
possible moment.
D. Cars parked in violation of the foregoing regulations
shall be towed away on order of the Highway Department or the Police
Department and may be recovered by the owners or their agents only
upon payment of the costs incurred in the removal operations, the
costs being payable to the Town Clerk.
No person, except a person driving an emergency vehicle, shall stop, stand or park a vehicle in any parking place, whether on public or private property, specially designated for a person with a walking disability by means of a sign as required by New Hampshire Revised Statutes Annotated 265:73-a stating that the space is reserved for a person with a walking disability or displaying the universal accessibility symbol, unless that person has a special number plate, decal or a card issued pursuant to RSA 261:86, 261:87 or 261:88, or a similar license plate, decal or card issued by another state or country displaying the international accessibility symbol, and the person who qualifies for the plate, decal or card is being transported to or from the parking place. Notwithstanding the provisions of §
164-19 or any other provision of law, the driver or owner of any motor vehicle violating the provisions of this section shall be fined a minimum of $50.
No person, except a person driving a school
bus, shall park any vehicle on the easterly side of South Main Street
at the curb area immediately in front of Carpenter School on any day
in which the school is in session, between the hours of 8:30 a.m.
to 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Bicycles shall not be operated on sidewalks
and will keep to the right lane of the highway in conformance with
state law.
Pedestrians shall use crosswalks and shall have
the right-of-way. All motorists will bring their vehicles to a complete
stop and allow the safe passage of the pedestrians.
All persons utilizing parking spaces shall be
required to park their vehicles entirely within such designated spaces
marked by painted lines. Where a street or parking lot is marked by
lines designating authorized parking spaces, no person shall park
a vehicle in an area which is not an authorized parking space.
No U-turns are permitted on any Town road.
The maximum speed limit on all Town roads in
Wolfeboro shall be 30 miles per hour unless otherwise posted.

Penalty parking violations shall be $20 for
each offense. Fines are payable within 48 hours at the police station
and thereafter will be subject to an additional penalty of $15. Vehicles
parked in violation of these regulations are also subject to being
towed away at the owner's expense.
Except as otherwise herein provided, any person
convicted of a violation of any provision of this article shall be
guilty of a violation as defined by the Criminal Code of the State
of New Hampshire.

Any person who operates or parks a motor vehicle on any Town
way or Town property in a manner that would violate state statute,
or which would cause a hazard or substantial risk of harm to any other
person, to another vehicle or to Town property, shall be subject to
a fine of $20 for each offense.
