In accordance with MGL c. 40, § 8C, the Conservation
Agent shall be appointed by the Conservation Commission. The Conservation
Agent may be removed by a majority vote of the Conservation Commission.

The Conservation Agent shall supervise, coordinate and represent
the City’s interest in all matters pertaining to conservation
and wetlands; represent the City in the promotion, protection, and
development of its natural resources; and assist in the protection
of the watershed resources of the City. He or she shall also confer
with such public officials and with private citizens as may consult
him or her from time to time for the purpose of facilitating the presentation
of matters involving natural resources or wetlands areas to the Conservation
Commission or other body having appropriate jurisdiction over the
administrative support to the Conservation Commission.
