The Borough Council of the Borough of Tyrone hereby signifies its intention and desire to organize an authority under the provisions of the Parking Authority Law of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania of June 5, 1947, P.L. 458, as amended.[1]

The Mayor, the President of the Borough Council and the Secretary of the Borough Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the Borough of Tyrone Articles of Incorporation for said Authority in substantially the following form.[1]

The members of the Board of the Tyrone Borough Parking Authority are hereby specifically appointed to be members of the Board of said Authority for the terms of office set after their respective names, as set forth in the Articles of Incorporation.[2]

The proper officers of the Borough are hereby directed to cause a notice of this chapter to be published one time in the Blair County Legal Bulletin and one time in a newspaper published and of general circulation in Blair County as required by the Parking Authority Law of June 5, 1947, P.L. 458, as amended.[1]

The Mayor, the President of the Borough Council and the Secretary of the Borough Council are directed to file said Articles of Incorporation, together with the required proofs on publication, with the Secretary of the Commonwealth and to do, execute and perform any and all acts and things and to pay all fees and costs necessary or appropriate to effect the incorporation of the Tyrone Borough Parking Authority.
The initial project which shall be undertaken by said Authority is to acquire, hold, construct, improve, maintain, operate, own or lease, either as lessor or as lessee, a municipal parking facility in and for the Borough of Tyrone on the parcel of land located on the easterly side of Logan Avenue between Herald Street and the property of the Tyrone Young Men's Christian Association and extending eastwardly from Logan Avenue of even width along the line of Herald Street to the line of Alley F; and it shall not undertake any other project without specific authority from the Borough Council of the Borough of Tyrone so to do.
