There are hereby established municipal parking lots at the following
locations:
A. E. Airy Street and Arch Street (northwest corner).
B. E. Main Street and Green Street (northwest area).
C. Four hundred Block of W. Marshall Street (rear of Walters).
D. Six hundred Block of Kohn Street at Blackberry Alley.
E. Five hundred Block of Barbadoes Street at Fig Alley.
F. One hundred Block of W. Lafayette (at Old Pike Tire).
H. Rear of 235 E. Airy Street (Municipal Hall rear lot).
I. Corson Street, on the east side from a point 40 feet south of W.
Marshall Street to Haws Alley.
The municipal parking lots described above shall be divided
into appropriate spaces for the parking of vehicles, with each parking
space or otherwise restricted or regulated area being designated or
marked in such a manner to show the nature, type and extent of the
area regulated.
The municipal parking lots shall be open for public parking
seven days a week except during the hours as otherwise posted.
The Municipality shall post in a conspicuous manner in each
municipal parking lot or facility warning to the public of the requirements
of this article and notice of the penalties prescribed under this
article. Failure of the Municipality to comply with this article shall
not constitute an affirmative defense I any prosecution for violation
oft his article.

The use of spaces designated for metered parking shall be subject to the provisions of Article
IV. Parking meters shall be in operation between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday of each week, unless otherwise posted/noted. The meter parking fee on municipal lots where meters exist shall be $1 per hour. When a meter is inoperable or missing, parking in the space shall be limited to two hours.
It shall be unlawful and a violation of the provisions of this
article for any person:
A. To park any vehicle in a space rented to another individual or entity.
B. To park any vehicle across any line or marking.
C. To park any vehicle in an area not designated by markings on said
lot to indicate a parking space.
D. To use any metered parking space in violation of Article
IV.
E. To park any vehicle within an area or outside an area marked "reserved,"
"limited" or "restricted" unless otherwise authorized by the Municipality.
In addition to any other information to be included in a violation
notice, notices with respect to violations of this article shall indicate
the name or location of the parking lot in which such violation occurred.
All revenues received for monthly parking are hereby allocated
to the general fund for general Municipal purposes. All revenues received
from the parking meters located on these lots shall be allocated to
a special account titled "Special Parking Development Account," and
said funds shall be used in the future to develop and maintain additional
municipal parking lots.
