A. 
Beginning January 1, 2014, and continuing each year thereafter, the elected Township Tax Collector shall be paid the sum of $10,000 per year as compensation for performance of his or her duties as Tax Collector. The expenses of collecting the taxes shall be borne proportionately by Butler Township, Butler County and the Butler Area School District.
B. 
Beginning January 1, 2014, and continuing each year thereafter, compensation to the appointed Township Treasurer shall be determined on a biannual basis by the Board of Commissioners. The Township shall pay the cost of the premiums for the Treasurer's bonds.
Hereafter any Treasurer whose term expires shall, after the Treasurer is released from his bond, deliver unto his duly elected successor in office all records, papers and books received by him from his predecessor or which he used and maintained for the records of taxables, showing taxes received, and every other record pertaining to the performance of his duties.
