The 2018 International Mechanical Code is hereby adopted as the Mechanical Code of the City for the control of buildings and structures within the City. Each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of the code are hereby adopted by reference and made a part of this Article as if fully set out in this Article, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in Section
500.120. One (1) copy of the International Mechanical Code, 2018 Edition, is on file in the office of the City Clerk.

The 2018 International Mechanical Code is amended as follows:
Section 101.1. These regulations shall be known
as the Mechanical Code of the City of Osage Beach, Missouri, hereinafter
referred to as the Mechanical Code or this code.
Section 106.5.2. Fee Schedule is hereby amended
to read as follows:

to read as follows:

Section 108.4. Violation Penalties is hereby amended
to read as follows:
Section 108.4 Violation Penalties. Persons who violate a provision of this code shall be subject to a penalty according to Section
500.130 of the Osage Beach Code of Ordinances.
Section 108.5. Stop Work Orders. Persons who violate a provision of this code shall be subject to a penalty according to Section
500.130 of the Osage Beach Code of Ordinances.
Section 308.4.2.1. Solid Fuel Burning Appliances
is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 308.4.2.1. Solid Fuel Burning Appliances. Solid fuel
firebox walls and chimney/flue shafts shall be lined with 5/8-inch
type X gypsum board or equivalent to the height of the roof sheathing/deck.
Seams shall be tight or shall be sealed with tap and joint compound
or approved fire caulking.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this Article or
the Mechanical Code adopted in this Article shall be deemed guilty
of an ordinance violation and upon conviction thereof shall be fined
in an amount not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00) or be imprisoned
in the City or County Jail for a period of not exceeding ninety (90)
days, or both such fine and imprisonment. Each day such violation
is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate
offense and shall be punishable as such hereunder.
