A. 
Adopted. The Board of Aldermen hereby adopts the 2018 International Fuel Gas Code, as published by the International Code Council, and all referenced standards therein as if spelled out in this Article, except such portions thereof as are hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended. This code shall be designated as Section 500.360, Fuel Gas Code of Title V, Building and Construction, known as part of the Strafford Municipal Code. One (1) copy of said code is on file in the office of the City Clerk, City Hall 126 South Washington Avenue, Strafford, Missouri.
B. 
The 2018 International Fuel Gas Code, as adopted, is hereby amended, and changed as follows:

101.1 Title. Insert: City of Strafford, Missouri.
2. 
106.6 Fees. Delete this Section in its entirety. Insert: Strafford Municipal Code Section 500.480.
3. 
106.6.3 Fee Refunds. Delete this Section in its entirety.
4. 
108.4 Violation Penalties. Insert (Misdemeanor), ($500.00), (90 days).
5. 
108.5 Stop Work Orders. Insert ($500.00), ($500.00).
6. 
403.4.3 Copper And Copper Alloy. Repeal this Section in its entirety.
7. 
403.5.3 Copper And Copper Alloy Tubing. Repeal this Section in its entirety.
8. 
404.11.2 Protection Methods. Underground piping shall comply with one (1) or more of the following:
4. Provide one (1) 15-pound magnesium bag every two hundred (200) feet.
9. 
406.4.1 Test Pressure. Amend as follows:
1. 
2 PSI gas, 20-pound test for fifteen (15) minutes.
2. 
Over 2 PSI gas, 20-pound test for one (1) hour.
10. 
406.4.2 Test Duration. Repeal this Section in its entirety.

Adoption Of Appendices. Only the following appendices listed among others in the 2018 International Fuel Gas Code, are adopted.
Appendix A. Sizing And Capacities Of Gas Piping (IFGS)
Appendix B. Sizing Of Venting Systems Serving Appliances Equipped With Draft Hoods, Category I Appliances And Appliances Listed For Use With Type B Vents (IFGS)
Appendix C. Exit Terminals Of Mechanical Draft And Direct-Vent Venting Systems (IFGS)

Nothing in this Article or in the Fuel Gas Code hereby adopted shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding impending in any court, or any rights acquired, or liability incurred, or any cause or causes of action acquired or existing under any act or ordinance hereby repealed as cited in Section 500.390 of this Article; nor shall any just or legal right or remedy of any character be lost, impaired or affected by this Article.

All City of Strafford ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict are herewith and hereby repealed.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this Article or the code adopted in this Article shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined an amount not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00) or be imprisoned in the City or County Jail for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each day such violation is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable as such hereunder.
