A. Adoption. The Board of Aldermen hereby adopts the 2018 International Mechanical Code, as published by the International Code Council, and all referenced standards therein as if spelled out in this Article, except such portions thereof as are hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended. This code shall be designated as Section
500.410, Mechanical Code of Title V, Building and Construction, known as part of the Strafford Municipal Code. One (1) copy of said code is on file in the office of the City Clerk, City Hall 126 South Washington Avenue, Strafford, Missouri.
B. The
2018 International Mechanical Code, as adopted, is hereby amended,
and changed as follows:
1. 101.1 Title. Insert: City of Strafford, Missouri.
2. 106.5 Fees. Delete this Section in its entirety. Insert: Strafford Municipal Code Section
500.480.
3. 106.5.3 Fee Refunds. Delete this Section in its entirety.
4. 108.4 Violation Penalties. Insert: (Misdemeanor), ($500.00),
(90 days).
5. 108.5 Stop Work Orders. Insert: ($500.00), ($500.00).
6. 307.2.1 Condensate Disposal. Amend as follows: Condensate
shall not discharge into a building drain or building sewer line.

Nothing in this Article or in the Mechanical Code hereby adopted shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding impending in any court, or any rights acquired, or liability incurred, or any cause or causes of action acquired or existing under any act or ordinance hereby repealed as cited in Section
500.440 of this Article; nor shall any just or legal right or remedy of any character be lost, impaired or affected by this Article.

All City of Strafford ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
are herewith and hereby repealed.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this Article or
the code adopted in this Article shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction thereof shall be fined an amount not exceeding
five hundred dollars ($500.00) or be imprisoned in the City or County
Jail for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days, or by both such
fine and imprisonment. Each day such violation is committed or permitted
to continue shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable
as such hereunder.
