A. 
The Board of Aldermen hereby establishes a check-in policy for all visitors entering the premises of certain City work areas, to wit:
1. 
City work areas which are not generally open to the public for the conduct of business shall hereafter be posted with signs "City Employees Only" or such similar phrase giving notice to the public that such areas are restricted and indicating the name and/or position of the person designated to authorize the visitor's entry upon the premises.
2. 
Visitors to City work areas which are not generally open to the public for the conduct of business must check in with the resident department head, or such other person as may be designated for that purpose, to announce their presence, state their intended business and the length of time they estimate their business will require.
3. 
If the department head or person designated for that purpose determines such a visitor has official City business to conduct on the premises, approval to enter or remain upon the premises may be granted with such restrictions, if any, necessary to protect the safety of all persons in the work area and the efficient working of City employees.
4. 
For the purposes of this policy, a "visitor" shall be defined as any person not employed by the City of Dexter.

A. 
The Board of Aldermen hereby establishes a policy whereby visitors to City buildings or parts thereof which are not generally open to the public must obtain written consent from the Mayor or City Administrator before entering such a building or part thereof for the purpose of taking photographic, video or any other type of recorded information.

Visitors shall seek written consent from the Mayor or City Administrator before entering a building or part thereof not generally open to the public for the purpose of taking photographic, video or other type of recorded information.
2. 
For the purpose of this policy, a "visitor" shall be defined as any person not employed by the City of Dexter.

Any person applying to the City for a building permit and/or City services shall be required to pay all outstanding fees due to the City prior to any such permit or service being provided.

The City shall charge a three and one-half percent (3 1/2%) convenience fee to all customers using a credit/debit card to pay any fees or charges owed to the City.
